Carteret Mortgage was created in 1991 in Virginia as WEINCO, Inc., a family-owned company, owned solely by Eric Weinstein. The business name changed to Carteret Mortgage Corporation in 1995. By the end of 2002, Carteret Mortgage Corp. operated in all fifty states, including Washington, D.C. Carteret Mortgage Corp. is not a parent to any other company and they are not a subsidiary of any other company.
